A dispute broke out due to rivalry late on Thursday evening in Saraiyan village of Suhawal police station area of Ghazipur. The youth shot 22-year-old Dharmendra Bind. As soon as the young man fell down bleeding, there was panic in the entire village. After the incident, angry villagers blocked the highway.

As soon as the information was received, Superintendent of Police Atul Sonkar and CO Radhakrishna reached the spot with heavy police force and tried to pacify the people. According to Savita, after the incident the accused fled from the spot firing several rounds in the air. Police raided the houses of the accused to arrest them, but they had absconded. Superintendent of Police Atul Sonkar said that the injured youth has been referred to Varanasi. Police force is deployed in the village. Continuous raids are being conducted to arrest the accused.
