The poster for the fifth edition of Panchanad Deep Mahaparva has been released.

The fifth edition of Panchanad Deep Mahaparva will be celebrated grandly on November 26, 2024 at the world’s unique confluence of five rivers at the historical Chambal Museum, Panchanad, Auraiya. Museum officials gave this information while releasing the official poster of the event.

For the success of the Mahaparva, a public relations campaign is being carried out vigorously in the rugged areas including Auraiya, Etawah, Jalaun, Bah, Bhind, Morena. Various teams are active in this work with promotional material.

Special events and appreciation

Appreciating the efforts of Chambal Museum, Culture and Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat and Principal Secretary of Uttar Pradesh Tourism Directorate Mukesh Meshram have sent best wishes for the event. Special programs like Sankalp Sabha, Torch Salute, Quiz Competition, Documentary Film Screening and Exhibition of Rare Documents will be organized during Panchanad Deep Mahaparv.

Event organized in memory of revolutionary Gusai Kuttibaks Director General of Chambal Museum and famous documentary writer Dr. Shah Alam Rana said that this year’s Mahaparva is dedicated to the memory of the great revolutionary of 1857 and the head priest of Mahakaleshwar Temple, Gusai Kuttibaks. Dr. Rana shared that the excavation of the Gadar file of the criminal records of Etawah Collectorate revealed the stories of bravery of many unsung warriors.

Government could not present witnesses During the freedom struggle of 1857, Mahant Gusai Kuttibaks converted the Gadhiya Kaleshwar temple into a fort and faced the British army with rebel soldiers. The British attacked by water on 10 August 1858 with heavy troops and artillery. The Mahant had only 150 regular soldiers and local gunmen. After a fierce battle, the British army captured the temple, but the British government could not produce any witnesses in the Panchanad valley. On the occasion of poster release, many senior officials and dignitaries associated with Chambal Museum including Virendra Singh Sengar, Muhammad Ehsan, Devendra Singh, Manoj Soni, Rajesh Saxena, Adil Khan were present.
