In Jalaun, two youths, who lured a minor away and raped her, were sentenced to 20 years of imprisonment by the Special Judge of the Special Court POCSO Act. In this case, the court also sentenced the woman who supported the two youths to 20 years imprisonment.

Besides, an order has also been given to pay compensation of Rs 50 thousand to the victim. In another case, a young man who molested a minor was sentenced to 4 years imprisonment. Besides, a fine of Rs 11,000 was also imposed.

Chargesheet was filed in the court on June 15

Additional District Government Advocate Brijraj Rajput, who represented both the cases, said that the first case is of a village in Et Kotwali area. A 17-year-old minor living here was abducted by Dolu alias Manvendra son of Ashok Ahirwar, living near Vedika Guest House, Orai, on 28 March 2023. In which Devendra’s son Gopal Ahirwar and his wife Lakshmi had helped in the escape. Not only this, Dolu along with Devendra had committed the crime of raping the minor. The minor’s mother had complained about this to the police on June 4, 2023. After which the police registered a case and arrested Devendra and his wife Lakshmi on June 6, 2023 and sent them to jail. Whereas on June 8, 2023, Dolu alias Manvendra was arrested by the police and sent to jail. Also, the minor was presented in the court. Where his written statements were recorded. In which the minor had told that she had been raped. Also, Dolu and Devendra were accused of gangrape, on which the police had also increased the section of gangrape. In this case, the police took immediate action and filed the charge sheet in the court on June 15. Whereas the charges were dismissed on 7 July 2023.

The amount will have to be given to the victim as compensation

After this, the trial was going on continuously in the court. After almost one and a half years, the decision in this case has come on Tuesday. In this case, Jalaun’s Special Court POCSO Act Judge Mohammad Qamar ADJ, on the basis of evidence and witnesses, has found Dolu alias Manvendra and Devendra and his wife Lakshmi guilty of luring the minor away and gang-raping her. In which woman Lakshmi has been found guilty of section 376D of IPC and section 109 of IPC and has been sentenced to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment. Whereas a fine of Rs 60 thousand has been imposed on the woman. At the same time, the court judge found Dolu alias Manvendra and Devendra guilty under the section of gang rape and other sections and sentenced them to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment each. Also, a fine of Rs 50 thousand has been imposed on Manvendra and Rs 55 thousand on Devendra. Out of this fine, an amount of Rs 50 thousand will have to be given as compensation to the victim.

Meanwhile, government advocate Brajraj Singh Rajput said that the minor girl, resident of a village in Kalpi Kotwali area, was molested by Anup alias Annu, a resident of the same village. In this case too, Special POCSO Act Judge Mohammad Qamar Ahmed found Anoop guilty and sentenced him to 4 years imprisonment and also imposed a fine of Rs 11,000.
