A moneylender shot a young man in Shahjahanpur. The young man had taken five lakh rupees on interest from the moneylender. When the youth’s brother went to pay the interest installment, he was abused. After coming home he informed his brother. Brother also went to talk to the money lender and he was shot at.

Mayank Goyal, a resident of Nawada Indepur of Chowk Kotwali area, had taken Rs 5 lakh on interest from Prashant Gupta, a resident of Roshanganj, three years ago. Mayank continued to pay the installment of Rs 15 thousand on time.

It is alleged that on the night of 24th November, Manyak had gone to Prashant’s house to pay the installment of Rs 15,000. After taking the installment there, Prashant started abusing. People had intervened. After coming home, Mayank informed his younger brother Shubham Goyal about the incident. After that Shubham reached the house of moneylender Prashant. It is alleged that Prashant opened fire on him as soon as he came near the window of the house. The bullet hit his hand and then the same bullet entered his waist. Due to which he was seriously injured.

As soon as the information was received, friends and brother brought the injured Shubham to the Government Medical College. Where he is being treated. On the basis of the complaint, the police have registered an FIR against three accused. The victim alleges that along with the interest installment, he is also actually depositing the money. But the usurer is increasing the money. In this way around Rs 15 lakh have been given.

Chowk Kotwali in-charge Rajeev Tomar said that FIR has been registered on the basis of the complaint. Investigation is being done. Both are relatives and there was a dispute regarding money transaction.
