The body of Suryakant alias Suraj (28), resident of Bargadwa Khurd village, was found in a wheat field outside the village on Wednesday morning. Both the legs of the body were tied with a rope and there were punch marks on the body. Family members said that Suraj was missing since Tuesday afternoon. His mobile was also switched off. The family was busy searching for him, but when the news was received from the villagers in the morning, there was chaos in the house.

Police took action

As soon as information about the incident was received, Additional Superintendent of Police Sushil Kumar Singh, CO Keshavnath, SOG in-charge Sarvesh Rai, forensic team and police from several police stations reached the spot. The youth’s father lodged a complaint accusing Ramanayan and six other members of his family of murder in the village. The police have registered a case against the seven accused under sections of rioting and murder.
