A massive fire suddenly broke out in Barabanki late on Sunday night due to a short circuit, due to which goods worth lakhs of rupees kept in the house were burnt to ashes. The flames engulfed the entire house and one and a half quintal of mentha oil, cash, jewellery, clothes, grains and other items were kept in the house.

Fire broke out due to short circuit in Ram Gopal’s house located in Mohalla Pachghara of Fatehpur Nagar. The incident took place around 11 pm on Sunday night, when the thatched roof outside the house of Ram Gopal, son of Jag Jeevan, suddenly started burning due to a short circuit. Within no time the fire took a huge form and engulfed the entire house.

Seeing the high flames rising from the house, the people of the locality got scared and went to inform Ram Gopal, who had gone to listen to Shrimad Bhagwat Katha. Ram Gopal, in a distressed state, immediately called the local people for help and tried to control the fire, but by then the fire had spread too much.

After some time, on receiving information, the fire brigade team reached the spot and after about 2 hours of hard work, the fire was controlled. However, till then, about three lakh rupees in cash, one and a half quintal of mentha oil, jewelery (earrings, hairpin, waist belt, anklets, anklets, ring, jewelery necklace), caterers’ goods (worth about Rs 80 thousand), were kept in the house. Clothes, grains and other items were completely burnt.

Ram Gopal’s family has suffered huge loss in this incident. Now Ram Gopal and his family are hoping for relief and help.
