Daughter went missing after being beaten on June 21
According to the victim’s father, on the night of June 21, his daughter was beaten severely by a family in the village, to whose house she used to go to work. Since then his daughter disappeared under mysterious circumstances. Despite registering a case of kidnapping on July 2, the police did not pay attention to the case.
A new twist occurred after the dead body was found on July 22.
While the search for the daughter was going on, on July 22, 2023, the body of a girl was found near the Khonhauli canal bridge of Nichlaul. The police forcibly identified it as the dead body of the victim and later accused them of murder and sent the victim’s father and his son to jail. According to the police, the girl died due to head injury and the accused held her hostage in the house, murdered her and threw her in the canal on the night of July 19.
Police started preliminary investigation, awaiting court report
Superintendent of Police Somendra Meena said that the entire story has been heard from the victim’s family. He said that preliminary investigation into the case has been started, but no report has been received from the court yet. Necessary action will be taken after receiving the report.
