The father of the deceased has given a written complaint at BKT police station on Saturday. Police have registered a case and started investigation.

The body of Umesh Yadav (35), son of Lalla Yadav of the same village, was found hanging in the mango orchard of Wasim in Majhuria village of BKT area on Friday night. There was chaos among the family members after getting information about the dead body.

Wife eloped with village youth

Police reached the spot after receiving the information, filled out the Panchnama of the body and sent it for postmortem. The deceased’s father Lalla Yadav told that his son was married to Mausam Yadav 6 years ago.

Mausam: On 23 December 2024, Mother Chandrika Devi had left the house asking to go to the temple. Son Umesh had received information that his wife had gone on a bike with Deshraj, Vishal Yadav’s son from the same village.

He told that Umesh chased them and caught both of them. He opposed his wife going with another young man like this. On this, Mausam and Vishal had threatened to kill. They ran away from the spot after pushing and shoving.

After this, the son’s body was found hanging in the mango orchard. Umesh used to drive a private school van. She has a 3-year-old son, Karthik. BKT Inspector said that a complaint has been received from the family members. Further action will be taken on the basis of postmortem report.
