The Drug Department took major action against illegal medical stores in Fatehganj East of Bareilly. On the instructions of District Magistrate and Assistant Commissioner of Drug Board Bareilly, Drug Inspector Anamika Ankur Jain and Rajesh Kumar jointly conducted the raid.

During the action, an illegal medical store of Dharamveer Singh, a resident of Shahjahanpur, was caught, which was running in Shahpur Baniyan, Fatehganj East. As soon as they got wind of the department’s action, many illegal medical store operators closed their shops.
During the inspection, samples of four suspected medicines were taken from the store for testing, which will be sent to the government laboratory, Lucknow. Also, medicines worth about Rs 50,000 were seized by registering them in Form 16. Officials of the Drug Department said that after the investigation report comes, a complaint will be filed in the court against the operator Dharamveer Singh.
