Due to continuous drop in temperature and severe cold in Mirzapur, on the instructions of District Magistrate Priyanka Niranjan, holiday has been declared in all the schools of Basic Education Council till January 21.

The minimum temperature recorded in the district on Sunday was 12 degrees and the maximum temperature was 18 degrees Celsius. Normal life is being affected due to cold wave. However, teachers, Shikshamitras, instructors and other staff will have to be present in schools from 10 am to 3 pm. During this time he will discharge DBT, U-Bias, Upper ID and other government functions.
Basic Education Officer Anil Kumar Verma has given a clear warning that if any school ignores the weather conditions and calls children to school, then strict action will be taken against it. He has instructed all school heads to strictly follow the order.
