4,632 cases of travelling without ticket have been reported in roadways in May. 5,471 passengers have been caught in this. Along with this, luggage worth 1,40,800 kg has also been caught in roadways buses without booking.

Buses were checked 1,19,540 times
A total of 1,19,540 buses were checked by UPSRTC in a month. A fine of Rs 35.27 lakh was imposed in various cases. Chief Manager Enforcement Ashok Kumar said that the checking teams formed at the headquarters and regional levels conducted the checking. Action has been taken in this. The checking team formed at the headquarters level checked the buses 27,674 times. 2254 passengers were caught travelling without tickets. During this period, 60,700 kg of unbooked load was caught.
Alcohol test of drivers was done 13520 times
The regional inspection team of Roadways checked buses 91,866 times. In this, 3,217 passengers were caught without tickets and 80,100 kg of unbooked load was caught. At the same time, alcohol test of 13520 drivers and conductors was also done during checking on the way. During this, no driver and conductor was found guilty of alcohol test.
