People caught the accused who was trying to run away after kidnapping a five-year-old girl, putting her in a sack, in Alibaug Colony of Lohianagar police station area in Meerut on Wednesday night. The accused was identified as Zahid, resident of Shahjahan Colony of Lisadi Gate police station area.

The accused may be connected to a begging gang
Five-year-old girl Rimsha, resident of Alibaug Colony, who is Salman’s daughter, was playing in the street at night. Then Zahid took advantage of the opportunity, locked the girl in a sack and tried to run away. Hearing the noise, people nearby caught the accused red-handed, beat him and handed him over to the police.
Local people allege that this gang kidnaps children and forces them to beg in Delhi. People expressed apprehension that the accused had already kidnapped many children.
Police is collecting gang related evidence
The police have started interrogating the accused and information is being collected about his gang. However, the police station has refused to give any official statement in this matter.
