Thumbprints missing from the ration dealer’s register. Thumb impressions missing in Kotedar’s register: Siddharthnagar DM said – check the distribution register and submit report to SDM – Siddharthnagar News


Siddharthnagar DM visited Gram Panchayat Badhar Ghat of development block Bansi and took stock of the status of various government schemes and facilities. During the inspection, he visited cheap coal shop, Panchayat Bhawan, community toilet, Annapurna Bhawan, interlocking road and R.A.

Irregularities found in cheap coal shop

DM checked the stock and lifting register at the government cheap grocery shop. He found that not only were the thumb impressions missing in the register, but the impressions that were there also appeared to be identical. On this he instructed SDM Bansi to thoroughly investigate the distribution register and submit a report. Also, he directed to distribute ration at Annapurna Bhawan from next month.

Poor condition of toilet and panchayat building

While inspecting the Panchayat building, the DM found that the toilet gate was broken. The steam required for the repair work of the Panchayat building was not made available by consulting engineer Sumitra Nandan Mishra. DM sought clarification from Secretary Mahmood Ali and Consulting Engineer and directed to complete the work soon.

Villagers said that the community toilet has been opened for the first time during inspection, whereas it is always closed. The DM expressed strong displeasure over this and directed to operate the toilets regularly.

Questions on interlocking road and RRC center also

Regarding the side wall of the interlocking road being built in the Gram Panchayat, the DM expressed dissatisfaction over the quality of construction. While inspecting the RRC Center (Resource Recovery Centre), it was found that Umesh appointed there, who is given a monthly honorarium of ₹ 6,000, does not collect garbage from every house. The gate of the center was also found broken. The DM directed that the village’s garbage should be brought to the RRC center and its arrangements should be improved.

Inspection instructions given to officials

The DM instructed Block Development Officer Bansi to inspect the villages regularly. Also, all the district level officers were appointed nodal officers for the development blocks.

DM’s strict message

During the inspection, the DM expressed strong displeasure over the irregularities and directed the concerned officers to fix accountability. He said that the benefits of government schemes and facilities should reach the public at all costs.
