The investigation is going on against the college principal Dr. Anurag Shukla since June last year. After about 17 months, the Higher Education Commission declared his application void. Now the Director of Higher Education has canceled his selection and declared the post of Principal of Agra College vacant. The first investigation against Dr. Anurag Shukla was conducted in June 2023. A high level committee had come to Agra under the leadership of Joint Director of Higher Education. After this, Dr. Shukla was suspended and Dr. CK Gautam of the college was made the acting principal. Even during the tenure of Dr. CK Gautam, a team of four senior professors had investigated the scams and prepared their report on the orders of the Commissioner. After this, on April 25 and 26 this year, another investigation team under the leadership of the Director of Higher Education stayed in Agra for two days and investigated the allegations. On the basis of the investigation report of the Director, the government had asked the Higher Education Service Commission to take immediate action in this matter.

The case has also been filed The CJM had ordered to file a report against Dr. Shukla on the application of Agra College Board of Trustees member Subhash Dhall. After the case was registered in Lohamandi police station, Prof. Shukla remained out of Agra for several weeks. Dr. Shukla went to the High Court against the case registered against him in Agra. Here the single bench heard the case. After looking at the facts, the High Court did not give any relief. After this, he took the matter to the Chief Justice’s court, but the Chief Justice also made sharp remarks and refused to hear his case immediately.

The stand was presented on 11th November On the call of Higher Education Commission, Dr. Shukla had presented his side before the Commission on 11th November. After considering the parties in the Commission meeting on 12th November, it was decided to void or cancel his candidature for the post of Principal. The Commission admitted that the research documents presented by Dr. Shukla before the Commission were fake. On the basis of the investigation report of the Director of Higher Education, the government ordered the Commission to immediately take action as per rules against the Principal of Agra College, Dr. Anurag Shukla and inform the government about the action taken.

5 member committee was formed The Higher Education Service Selection Commission conducted an investigation by a five-member committee before declaring Dr. Shukla’s candidature void. The Commission received the report of the said committee on October 24 last. The five-member investigation committee of the Commission also concluded that the documents of Dr. Anurag Shukla are fake.
