These days the business of e-rickshaw charging is being done illegally in Prayagraj. There are continuous raids regarding this. Late on Tuesday night, the police busted an e-rickshaw charging center being run near Nand village locality of Kasari-Masari sub-centre.

Santosh Tiwari, Executive Engineer of Bamrauli Division, has instructed the officers of all the sub-centres to find out the illegally running e-rickshaw charging centers and take action.
On Tuesday, SDO Kasari-Masari Sandeep Prajapati got information that an e-rickshaw charging center was being run in a vacant plot near Nand village. He reached the spot along with Junior Engineer Nilesh Mishra etc. The boundary wall was raised around the vacant plot. There was a gate at the front. A person was sitting inside under the tin shed. 20 e-rickshaws parked in the plot were being charged by installing Katiya on the LT line. The officers knocked at the gate. Called out, but the gate was not opened. The officers stood here for about an hour and when the gate did not open, videography was done. After this FIR was lodged. Apart from this, electricity theft was detected in 11 more houses. A case has been registered against illegal charging centers and illegal electricity connections in homes.
