Delhi Public School in Jammu was targeted with a bomb threat today, causing widespread chaos on its premises. The threat was communicated via a phone call to a DPS teacher, who promptly reported the incident to the police.

Upon receiving the information, a police team swiftly arrived at Delhi Public School, situated on Residency Road in Jammu. The law enforcement response included multiple contingents of security forces and a bomb disposal squad arriving at the school.

A security officer at the scene explained that the teacher had alerted the school administration about the threatening call, leading to the involvement of the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS). A comprehensive search operation is currently underway within the educational institution. However, no explosive device or any suspicious or objectionable material has been discovered thus far.

Meanwhile, an email suggesting that there were “explosive devices on the school grounds” was sent out on December 1, to over sixty schools in Bengaluru city. School administrators contacted the police, who dispatched teams of sniffer dogs and the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad to the schools that received the bomb threat. Bengaluru Police Commissioner B Dayananda claimed that, at first glance, it appeared to be a hoax email. Nonetheless, police forces swarmed the city to inspect and safeguard every school named.
