A fire broke out in a three-storey house located in F Block of Sector 27 around 8.30 pm on Friday night due to firecrackers. DCP Ram Badan Singh said that Pushpa Devi has a four-storey house in F Block of Sector 27. Tenants live on all floors. On Friday evening, the son of Dev Singh, who lived on the first floor, had brought firecrackers. The electric board of the house caught fire. This fire reached the firecrackers. With a loud bang the fire reached the first floor and within no time the fire spread to four rooms on the second floor. Everyone somehow saved their lives by running away. The second floor was also filled with smoke.
Women found unconscious Two women were present on this floor at the time of the incident. She could not get out and caught fire. Then, after carrying out a rescue operation, the fire department team took out both the women in an unconscious state and admitted them to a private hospital. During this time a huge crowd gathered at the spot. There has been a loss of lakhs of rupees due to the fire. The damage is being assessed. During this time, the team of Sector 20 police station was also present at the spot and kept trying to control the fire.
The house is of four floors According to the police, there are total 4 floors in the house. Rajiv Rajput of Rampur lives on the ground floor. Talwar Dev lives on rent on the first floor with his mother Rekha Devi and wife Diksha. Arpit Tyagi and Avishi Tyagi live on the third floor. Shweta and an unknown woman living on the second floor were injured in the accident. Both are undergoing treatment in a private hospital. Mobile phones of two people including a woman were looted.
