The Central Government has announced the gallantry awards to be given on the occasion of Republic Day. According to the list released by the Home Ministry, this year 1132 personnel of Police, Fire Service, Home Guard, Civil Defense and Correctional Service will be honored with these awards. In this, UP DG Law and Order Prashant Kumar and IG Manzil Saini will be honored with the Gallantry Award. Azamgarh's IG Akhilesh Kumar, Lucknow's JCP Law and Order Upendra Aggarwal and IG Deepak Kumar will be given Meritorious Service Medal. Along with this, Lucknow's ADG Piyush Mordia Sujit Pandey, Dr. Kalori SP Kumar, Amit Chandra and Bhagwan Swaroop are being given President's Meritorious Service Medal.
