The anger of lawyers is increasing in West UP. Thursday was the 12th day of the strike. Lawyers have also announced a strike on Friday. Due to the lawyers’ agitation, the hearing of lakhs of cases in the courts of West UP is getting affected every day.

There was an altercation in the Ghaziabad courtroom on October 29 after an argument between the lawyers and the district judge. There was an uproar. The police had lathicharged the lawyers in the court room. The district judge was taken away from among the lawyers by the police officers. The lawyers are demanding transfer of the district judge and police officers in this case. Since November 4, lawyers are not doing judicial work in all the courts of West UP.
These are the demands
The meeting of the Central Struggle Committee regarding lathi charge on lawyers in Ghaziabad was held on Thursday in the library of Pandit Nanak Chand Auditorium in Meerut. 8 proposals were passed in this meeting. It was decided that if their proposals were not accepted by 21st November, then strict decisions would be taken in the meeting of the Central Struggle Committee on 22nd November.
In eight resolutions, a demand was made to conduct a judicial inquiry into the lathicharge case as soon as possible. lathi charge
A contempt petition should be filed in the High Court immediately regarding the matter. The District Judge should be transferred to another district by 21st November. Cases should be registered against the police personnel involved in the lathi charge incident.
Injured advocates should be given financial assistance of Rs 2 lakh each. The cases registered against lawyers should be withdrawn.
