Railways is spending crores of rupees in decorating and beautifying its stations. Railway stations are being given the look of airports. Even after this there are people who do not believe. If we look at the figures of action taken by Railway Protection Force, Kanpur Central Station has again become infamous for spreading filth at the railway station in last three months. While Kanpur was ahead in terms of filth, Prayagraj Junction was ahead in terms of chain pulling. Meaning, the maximum number of cases of arbitrary stopping of trains came in Prayagraj. Crores of rupees are being spent in the redevelopment of Kanpur Central and Prayagraj Junction, two big stations of Prayagraj division of North Central Railway. Now if we look at the railway data, Kanpur Central has been at the forefront in arresting cases of littering and illegal vending. Among those spreading filth, 1,751 people were caught at Kanpur Central. Whereas at Prayagraj Junction, 1,502 were caught and fined.
