Rishabh Pant fined Rs 12 lakh: Punishment for slow over rate; Before Rishabh, Gill has also been affected.

Delhi Capitals (DC) captain Rishabh Pant has been fined Rs 12 lakh. This fine was imposed on Pant after the match played against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in Visakhapatnam on Sunday. Pant has been found guilty of slow over rate. Indian Premier League (IPL) gave this information on Monday.

Delhi Capitals got their first win in the 17th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) on Sunday. The team defeated the defending champion and Chennai Super Kings (CSK), which had won the first 2 matches. Delhi won by 20 runs in Visakhapatnam. After this match, DC captain Rishabh Pant was fined Rs 12 lakh for slow over rate.

IPL gave information
IPL said in a media release, Delhi Capitals captain Rishabh Pant has been fined due to slow over rate in the match played against CSK at Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy Stadium in Visakhapatnam on March 31. This was the team's first mistake this season, hence the minimum penalty has been given as per the IPL Code of Conduct. Pant has been fined Rs 12 lakh.

Gill has also been fined this season
In the 7th match of this season of IPL, Gujarat Titans (GT) captain Shubman Gill was fined in the match against Chennai Super Kings (CSK). Team captain Gill was also fined Rs 12 lakh due to slow over rate. In this match, Chennai defeated Gujarat Titans (GT) by 63 runs. Gujarat won the toss and chose fielding at Chepauk Stadium. Batting first, Chennai scored 206 runs for 6 wickets in 20 overs. Chasing the target of 207 runs, Gujarat could score only 143 runs for 8 wickets in 20 overs. Full news…
