Rihand Reservoir is about 14 kilometers away from West Airstrip Road in Mayorpur block of Sonbhadra. Here, work is being done to develop Khanta situated in Padri village situated in the foothills as a picnic spot. Khanta Picnic Spot will now be developed, for which NTPC Bijpur will spend an amount of Rs 5 crore on behalf of CSR. The MoU has been signed in the presence of DM Chandra Vijay Singh and NTPC officials to develop Khanta tourist destination.
