Villagers of Ambedkar Nagar Lok Sabha candidate Ritesh Pandey put up a banner of boycott of voting.

The unmanned railway crossing near Mahamadpur on the railway line from Akbarpur to Tanda in Ambedkar Nagar has been permanently closed. Due to which the angry villagers put up a banner at the railway crossing to boycott voting in the Lok Sabha elections. The news of voting boycott created panic in the administration and policemen quickly reached the spot and removed the banner. Mahamadpur is the ancestral village of BJP Lok Sabha candidate Ritesh Pandey.
