The District Magistrate gave instructions to verify the de-addiction centres
A review meeting was held in Mathura regarding prosecution work, NCORD under the chairmanship of DM Shailendra Kumar Singh. In the meeting held in the Collectorate auditorium, the DM reviewed the cases related to prosecution work. During this, the DM took action against illegal drug dealers.

The District Magistrate first of all directed all the District Prosecution Officers, Assistant Prosecution Officers, Public Prosecutors and Additional Public Prosecutors to make progress in the execution of the related cases. In the meeting, Additional District Magistrate Administration Vijay Shankar Dubey told that 30 cases related to serious crimes have been disposed of. In which 17 cases have been convicted and out of these 17 cases, life imprisonment has been awarded against the accused in 6 cases.

Prompt justice to victims
The District Magistrate said in the meeting that it is everyone’s responsibility to provide speedy justice to the victims and everyone’s priority should be to provide timely justice. He identified important and serious cases related to Excise Act, POCSO Act, NDPS Act, SC-ST Act, murder, robbery, rape, Arms Act and directed timely action for their execution.
Effective advocacy of pending cases in court
The District Magistrate directed to take effective action on cases related to crimes against women. The District Magistrate asked the prosecution officers to effectively plead the cases in the court to get punishment for the criminals involved in criminal cases.

Verification of de-addiction centres
The issue of prohibition was discussed in the district level meeting of Narco Coordination Committee. The District Magistrate gave instructions for verification of de-addiction centres. He instructed that the de-addiction centres should comply with all the standards. Raids should be conducted at crowded places. Awareness campaigns should be run regarding prohibition in Anganwadi centres, colleges and schools. Along with this, effective measures should be taken to stop illegal trade of drugs.
