The Lucknow bench of the High Court had rejected the bail plea of MLA Abbas Ansari in the Chitrakoot jail incident case. This order was given by the single bench of Justice Jaspreet Singh. After which Abbas Ansari had filed a petition in the Supreme Court for bail.

Know the whole matter Abbas Ansari was brought from Naini Jail to Chitrakoot District Jail on 18 November 2022 in the money laundering case. Action was taken under the Gangster Act against five people, including MLA son Abbas Ansari of mafia Mukhtar Ansari, who met his wife illegally in Chitrakoot jail.
Apart from MLA Abbas, the police had started investigation by registering a case against the SP leader who was helpful in the meeting, the jail canteen contractor, Nikhat’s driver and the person who sent money to the account. Here his wife Nikhat was arrested in a raid on 10 February 2023 by DM Abhishek Anand and the then SP Vrinda Shukla. She was meeting her husband in jail illegally.
A case was registered against them In this case, the jail superintendent, deputy jailer, warder and other helpers were arrested. Some of these people have come out of jail on bail. In this case, the police had registered a case under the Gangster Act against Abbas, canteen contractor Karvi resident Navneet Sachan, Nikhat driver Niaz Ansari, SP leader Faraz Khan and Shahbaz Alam Khan of Varanasi, who transferred money to the accounts.
1 year ago, action was taken against Abbas Ansari and his associates under the Gangster Act. Which was rejected by Allahabad High Court as baseless. In August, gangster action was again taken against Abbas Ansari and five others in Chitrakoot police station. According to the police, the case pertains to demanding ransom and threatening a businessman.
Abbas is lodged in Kasganj jail After the jail case, Abbas Ansari was sent from Chitrakoot jail to Kasganj jail, but investigation into many other cases pending against him is still going on. Abbas Ansari’s lawyer says that the Chitrakoot gangster case will be heard in the Supreme Court on Monday.
