Here his wife Nikhat was arrested in a raid on 10 February 2023 by DM Abhishek Anand and the then SP Vrinda Shukla. She was meeting her husband in jail illegally.

In this case, the police had registered a case under the Gangster Act against Abbas, canteen contractor Karvi resident Navneet Sachan, Nikhat driver Niaz Ansari, SP leader Faraz Khan and Shahbaz Alam Khan of Varanasi, who transferred money to the accounts.

1 year ago, action was taken against Abbas Ansari and his associates under the Gangster Act. Which was rejected by Allahabad High Court as baseless. In August, gangster action was again taken against Abbas Ansari and five others in Chitrakoot police station. According to the police, the case pertains to demanding ransom and threatening a businessman.

Abbas is lodged in Kasganj jail After the jail case, Abbas Ansari was sent from Chitrakoot jail to Kasganj jail, but investigation into many other cases pending against him is still going on. Abbas Ansari’s lawyer says that the Chitrakoot gangster case will be heard in the Supreme Court on Monday.
