A fire broke out due to short circuit in a house located in Ganesh Mahal area under Dashashwamedh police station of Varanasi. There was an atmosphere of chaos in the surrounding area due to the fire. According to the information, family members were present in the house when the fire broke out but there was no major casualty.

Goods worth Rs 50 lakh burnt to ashes
The house belonged to Sonu Sahni son of Rajkumar Sahni in RSS Gali in Madanpura area. He told that most of the people were out of the house in the afternoon. The fire broke out due to a short circuit, due to which the money and clothes kept in the house were burnt to ashes. He told that there has been a loss of some Rs 50 thousand including clothes money.

Police station in-charge Dashashwamedh Pramod Kumar Pandey, who reached the spot, said that as soon as information about the fire was received, the fire brigade reached the spot. There is no casualty, the people in the house are safe, the cause of the fire is being said to be short circuit.
