Before the mini auction of the Women’s Premier League (WPL), all 5 teams have released their retention lists. Teams had to inform about player retention by 5 pm today. Teams have released players like Sneh Rana, Isabelle Wong and Heather Knight.

4. UP Warriors The UP team captained by Elise Hilli released 5 players. The team traded Danny Wyatt to RCB, while releasing fast bowler Lauren Bell. Both are players from England. The team also let go of 3 Indian players.

Apart from Hilli, UP’s foreign players include Chamari Atapattu, Grace Harris, Sophie Eccleston and Tahlia McGrath. Among the Indian players, the team has Kiran Navgire, Deepti Sharma and Shweta Sehrawat.

5. Gujarat Giants Gujarat Giants, which finished fifth in both the seasons of WPL, released 6 players. The team also did not keep Sneh Rana, Veda Krishnamurthy and Lee Tahuhu in the squad.
